We are a struggling young family and over the past few years have tried
our best to make it. When our son Hunter was born in 2005 we were over joyed...until we were taken for a ride by our pediatrician.
At 3 days old he swore our son was dying! We rushed him to CHKD (local children's hospital) where every horrible test was
done on our now 5 day old. We slept on the ground in his curtained off room and I breastfed him while hooked up to monitors
and listened to him scream while the nurses repeatedly tried to find veins for his IVs. They found nothing wrong.
The next day we brought him home and had to revisit the pediatrician. He swore that Hunter was dehydrated and ill.
We had to visit the doctor for weigh ins and checkups 3 times per week. After 3 months
of this he decided that our son "didn't look right" like "maybe he has a genetic condition..he doesn't look like normal children".
That was it! We went to another doctor and found that Hunter was NORMAL!
And here we come to the point of our story...each visit we had to pay the doctor
and hospital. Our doctor refused Medicaid (after initially saying it was accepted) We were just making it paycheck to paycheck
and now have a $5,000 debt! We are working so hard but it's not enough, we are going to loose our home if this does not get
fixed soon. We hardly have any money for food. I can not think of anything else to do..we have no family to help us and no
one will loan to us since we screwed up our credit when we were younger.
So now we are going to have hope..and faith...that someone out there can help pay
us with a good deed that we can then do in return. If anyone can help us reach our $5,000 goal , we will help in
return. We will pay it forward.
